The Lincoln News is a 5 column, black & white, tabloid format newspaper that is published weekly.
Standard display and classified display advertising space is sold on a per inch/per column basis with one inch of ad height
x 1 column of ad width (1-7/8") equaling 1 column inch). There are a total of 80 column inches per page (figired on 16"
per each column x 5 columns wide).

1 Col. 1-7/8" wide
2 Col. 3-7/8" wide
3 Col. 5-7/8" wide
4 Col. 7-7/8" wide
5 Col. 10" wide
Advertising Costs
STANDARD DISPLAY ADVERTISING SPACE COST $6.50 per column inch.
CLASSIFIED DISPLAY ADVERTISING SPACE COST $7.30 per column inch.
CLASSIFIED LINE ADS (text only) cost $4.00 for 15 words or less with 20¢ for each additional word over 15 words.
CAMERA READY ADVERTISING
The Lincoln News accepts finished art in hard copy format (mailed or brought in by hand) or electronic art that is emailed
as attachments to letters requesting ad insertion in PDF, TIFF or high resolution JPEG formats ONLY!
IT THE POLICY OF THE NEWS TO NOT OPEN, BUT TO DECLINE ANY ATTACHED WORD DOCUMENT FILES.

All advertising must be paid for in advance of the scheduled run date(s). This does not apply to businesses or individuals
who have a account with us and are in good standing.
Free Services
The Lincoln News does not charge any fees for the following information placements:
WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENTS
This would allow for a brief write-up explaining who, where and when, and where they may be going on their honeymoon,
etc. You are welcome to include a good, clear wedding photo.
WEDDING ENGAGEMENTS
This would allow for a brief write-up explaining who the couple is, where they hail from, and when they are intending
to get married. You are welcome to include a good, clear engagement photo.
BIRTH ANNOUNCMENTS
You may include a brief write-up who, where and when the baby was born, their weight, and a good, clear baby photo.
NEWSWORTHY STORIES AND PIX
If you have a picture and/or a story you think might be newsworthy, send a typewritten story or a picture with a caption
explaining who and what the people in the pix are doing, to the Lincoln News for the chance it might be included in one of
our issues.
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
If you have point of view regarding local newsworthy topics or you feel that something not covered needs addressing,
you can submit your thoughts on paper or by email to the Lincoln News. This is NOT meant as an opportunity to get free advertising
for a business or show support for a political candidate, and it is the option of our editorial staff to screen and/or decline
any submissions that slander an individual or may result in legal actions against the news. You must always include your name
and telephone number for verification of items submitted.
Cards of Thanks, Memoriams, Birthday Congratulations & Obituaries
Each of these newspaper items cost $6.00 per column inch to run. Total price is determined by the length of copy (which you
supply) and the space needed for any photo that accompanies the copy. You may fax or bring in the copy (and photo) ahead of
time to get an accurate cost of the item placement.
ALL OF THE ITEMS MENTIONED HERE MUST BE PAID FOR PRIOR TO INSERTION IN THE NEWS.
CARDS OF THANKS
Any thank you for financial or emotional support directed to a specific group or general readership.
MEMORIAMS
An article that remembers a loved one. A picture may be included but you will be charged for total column inches used
to display the entire copy and photo.
When emailing memoriams, be sure you include the key word "MEMORIAM" in the subject line and that you send any
photos as a high resolution JPEG.
BIRTHDAY OR ANNIVERSARY CONGRATULATIONS
Normally a photo with a small cut-line below the pix.
If emailing, please indicate "BIRTHDAY" or "ANNIVERSARY" in the subject line of any email along with
a high resolution JPEG of the subject.
OBITUARIES
A write-up that briefly covers the details of a person's recent death, their life, their surviving family members,
and where and when services will be held. A picture may be included but you will be charged for total column inches used
to display the entire copy and photo. When emailing obituaries, be sure you include the key word "OBITUARY" in
the subject line and that you send any photos as a high resolution JPEG.
